Summer Social Sunday – Brunch & Brew
Join us at MILL STREET BEERHALL in Toronto’s Distillery District, on Sunday August 10th for some brunch, brews and jazz.
The Distillery District is an internationally acclaimed village of one-of-a-kind stores, shops, galleries, studios, restaurants, cafes, theatres and more. We will have an area to ourselves at the Beerhall, which boasts a reputation for offering unique award-winning beers and a memorable dining experience. Other highlights of this summer social include live smooth jazz, creative, locally-inspired food and, of course, great Schulich company!
After the brunch & brew there will be a brewery & distillery tour 3:00 pm to 3:30pm for those interested. The tour concludes with a tasting of 4 seasonal beers as well as a sample of the house made Bierschnaps! (For anyone wishing to forgo the tasting, they will receive a gift as a token of the tour). Tickets are $10 per person and are to be bought on the day, on a first come, first served basis. Please note that as the tour has a capacity of 20 people, it is suggested that those interested purchase tickets as soon as you arrive at Mill Street to avoid disappointment.
This week the Schulich Grad Blog features an article on how Schulich MBA Candidate Jake Stief has turned his business concept into a reality, and the Schulich resources that helped along the way, including Schulich Start Up Day.

‘SCHULYMPICS’ noun, pronounced ‘shoo-lim-piks’
Our favourite fall getaway will be taking flight this September 26-28th! This event is a great experience for students to bond with each other, and will be the first such opportunity for incoming students. It is one of the largest events of the school year with approximately 200 students going to Camp Timberlane, in the Haliburton Highlands of Northern Ontario. The weekend will include traditional team-building games with a new twist and of course nights filled with the Schulympics partying and dancing that are so well loved.
There are two ways that you can help us spread the Schulympics spirit and prepare for the event!
1) We invite you to share your favourite Schulympics memories and pictures by sending them to email@example.com to help us promote this event to incoming students!
2) Who will be the designer this year’s t-shirts??? Please send your designs to go on the front of the T’s to firstname.lastname@example.org (converted to the art file format ‘EPS vector’, if possible) by 15th August. Winner to be announced on 20th August.
Stay tuned for more details to come!
